Testimonials

The sport of Track & Field can be very challenging on the human body. As a sprinter, it was especially daunting as I became older. After many years of competing in Masters Track, I began to suffer physically as a result of the grueling, yet productive workouts. Now 7 months into using the Egoscue Method exercises, I am seeing positive results that have yielded quality time on the track. Most important, the months have been injury free.
Rick is a co-author of "Training with a World Champion," and he currently holds two World Records in the 4x200 meter indoor relay and the 4x400 meter indoor relay

I limped painfully into my first Egoscue Method session, not expecting much. I was stiff and awkward the first few days of doing my menu, but I was surprised to find I was out of pain for the first time in months by the fourth day. I am managing chronic sciatica and the historic aftermath of a cracked pelvis, fractured hips, and ribs from an accident 35 years ago. I was told I have arthritis and bursitis and there was no cure. The E-cises strengthen supportive musculature, gently keep structure in balance, and prevent improper use of compensating structure from becoming painful. When I do my routine, I stay pain-free.

Egoscue has saved my life. In December 2015, I had significant pain down my right leg. I saw multiple professionals to try to resolve it. I could barely sit on a wooden chair for five minutes. I had quit all of my exercise. I was seriously contemplating steroid injections. Then my son introduced me to The Egoscue Method. I was able to resume swimming. I went to meets. I went to the short course yard national meet and got not only personal best times, but medaled in three events. I have maintained my exercises and I have maintained my health. I have had minimal problems with my back since then.

In 2011 I was suffering from lower back pain with sciatic nerve involvement. I read a book about golf flexibility and it mentioned Pete Egoscue and how he helped the author with chronic back and knee pain. This lead me to seek an Egoscue clinic. Gradually my back started feeling better and when it did hurt, I had a strategy to reduce or eliminate the pain. I was not as diligent as I should have been at first and did the prescribed movements maybe 4 times a week. When I made the decision to do the program at least six days a week, my back became pain-free.
