Lisa graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's of science in kinesiology. She is passionate about helping people heal themselves by physical rehab. She found Egoscue after working in various areas of traditional physical therapy. She wanted to be able to treat each individual as a whole unit, rather than one symptom at a time. As part of the Egoscue team, Lisa's goals are to continue helping others and to challenge herself to continue learning about the body.
Alex de la Flor
Alex has been in the fitness and sports performance for eight years. He started personal training while in college. After earning his degree in physical education in the field of strength and conditioning, he attempted to implement corrective exercises in adult and youth programs but had little luck. Frustrated after countless hours of research to help others and himself, Alex finally found The Egoscue Method.
I had doubts about The Egoscue Method. I am happy to report though that I've found out that they are sincerely interested in you getting better, and that if you follow what you are told and give it your all, you can see the kind of results that you are looking for. Thanks to everyone at Egoscue Santa Monica for giving me the encouragement and hope that I did not have back in August. I look forward to continuing to work as hard as possible to not see my hip specialist in five years or the next 35!
As a professional yoga therapist, I am always searching for new ways to bring more freedom to my clients. I came across Pain Free and began some of the exercises to help with persistent joint and muscle issues. I was immediately surprised at the effectiveness of the movements. I then visited a clinic and in short time, yoga poses that had been uncomfortable or seemingly impossible became simpler, more relaxed, and accessible. And the pain and discomfort virtually disappeared. Most remarkable are the changes in mobility and strength. Suddenly I moved with greater ease and grace. My sense of stability and balance increased. I trust my body even more deeply now that Egoscue is part of my life.
