Meet the Team
Egoscue Therapists have one goal in mind—to help you get back to the life you want to live! Let's arrange for a meeting and end your chronic pain.
Kristina is an Advanced Exercise Therapist and Certified Egoscue Instructor through the Egoscue Institute. She also is a certified personal trainer through Baylor Sports and Medicine Institute. After hearing about Egoscue from her orthopedic surgeon four years ago, Kristina quickly fell in love with The Method and the rest is history! She opened the first Egoscue clinic in Houston, Texas, in May 2011.
Deanna is a native Houstonian who has worked in a clinical setting and assisting patients for more than 30 years, including work for the Houston Astros’s team physician, as well as other orthopedic surgeons with different specialties. Deanna enjoys biking, traveling, and spending time with her four grandchildren.
After being diagnosed with a tear in the lining of my hip the beginning of 2011, I got my Egoscue menu. Within 6 months I felt ready to start triathlon training again and worked up to a half Ironman by the end of the 2011 season. Most importantly, I was pain free! I had become comfortable exercising with pain, but now I listen to my body and realize strong, aligned muscles work best — and without pain. After six years of sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, my dream to complete a half Ironman came when I didn't think it would be possible. Placing second in my age group made me realize that Egoscue offers powerful stuff!
About five years ago, I had pain in my knee that had grown from being an annoyance to being constant and fairly debilitating. I tried different types of exercises but nothing made a significant difference. A friend gave me Pain Free. It made a lot of sense so I made an appointment with the traveling Egoscue clinic that came to Houston every couple of months. It wasn't long after I started doing the E-cises that the pain diminished to the point where it was no longer bothersome. About three months later I was walking pain-free for the first time in years.
When a ski accident ruptured a disc in my lower back, the most severe pain I had ever experienced shot down my leg. I couldn't walk or stand. Three back surgeries were done in the course of three months, the last being a spinal fusion with insertion of rods and screws. Following the surgeries I was left with pain and numbness in both legs and great difficulty in sitting, driving, or standing. Although physical therapy, water therapy, and acupuncture helped, I continued to have pain and numbness. Since I began working with Kristina McDaniel, I have seen dramatic improvement. I have been telling everyone I know with back, neck, hip, or shoulder pain to get a free consultation.
