I began my career in 2000 after graduating from the University of Maine with a Bachelors degree in exercise science. I spent the next 6 months working in physical therapy. It was there that I was exposed to the most powerful pain relief technique I have ever encountered, the Egoscue Method.
After several years of study, confident that I had the skills to dramatically change peoples lives, I packed up and headed south opening Florida's first Egoscue Method Clinic.

"Hi, my name is Jessalynn Taker, Office Manager for Egoscue Palm Beach Gardens. Growing up I was always athletic and never really complained about pain. I was under the misconception of 'No Pain No Gain'. As I got older I found my pain took much longer to go away. At work I am constantly sitting which was starting to cause pain in my neck and shoulders. At 28 years old I was getting a hump in the back of my neck, which made me panic. With the help of the therapists I have improved my posture so that my work environment is enjoyable again without pain. As for the hump it is disappearing!! Watching Shawn transform people's lives since 2003 with Egoscue, motivated me to be a part of the business. My daily mission is for every client's experience to be inspirational."

I first came to the Egoscue Method as a client in 2007, seeking help for knee pain from a martial arts injury I had incurred over a year prior. I saw such relief for myself that I wanted to learn the method to be able to help others. I worked at several golf courses in NY teaching junior golf camps, and implementing exercises routines for them. I'm excited to now be working as a therapist and be able to help people get out of pain and enjoy a better way of life."
