I had gone through eleven doctors, epidurals, Novocain shots, accuspine machines, and then they were saying Rhizotomy (burning the nerves in the spine) was my final alternative. Kyle was diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis and Scheuermann's Kyphosis. Kyle could not relax his shoulders and you could see his Kyphosis. Even though he was not in any pain, his back was not straight and his ribs were touching together.
When the doctors told me that he needed surgery, I broke down in tears, and I knew I had to find an alternative. I had the Pain Free Books and it alleviated my pain, and to my good fortune there was a clinic in Florida. The idea of having rods in my son’s back was unacceptable so I made his first appointment for an Egoscue travel therapy trip in Tampa.
I can't express enough how fantastic Kyle looks now. Kyle's first session with Shawn was unbelievable; I made sure that I looked at Kyle's back before the session so that I could see his improvement. After his first session as I walking out to my car I was in tears. I knew that after only one visit Kyle had made such improvement and that there was hope in his future.
Kyle has come along way, his shoulder are almost down completely, and for his Kyphosis you can't even unless he takes his shirt off. That is an enormous improvement, a miracle if you ask me.
