Kyra Ryan, Clinic Director kyra@egoscue.com The first time I met Pete Egoscue, he told me that I was not very stable in the air on my snowboard and that was the same reason my back hurt. I had not said anything about having back pain, and I was shocked that he could tell all that by just looking at my body. After the fist session I could tell that I was moving differently, and within two weeks I was Painfree. At that time, I had just completed a degree in health science and had been working with athletes doing massage therapy and personal training. I still had many of unanswered questions about the body, pain, performance, and exercise design. Like magic, my own pain and curiosity lead me to The Egoscue Method in San Diego. Upon my arrival, it became clear to me that this was different and the Egoscue Therapists understood something that was missing in my formal education. I realized that being an Egoscue Therapist is what I wanted to do, and I jumped at the opportunity to train in San Diego and spent the next nine months growing a new facility in San Francisco before returning to San Diego to run the travel program, traveling all over the country working with clients and training new Egoscue Therapists. I also spend some time working in the education department to expand the coaching program. After a year in San Diego a client convinced me to move to Utah to be the Director of a clinic in Park City. The Park Clinic has been open for the last two years, and has now expanded to the Salt Lake area. I love working with skiers in Park City and providing relief for everyone experiencing chronic pain in Utah. This has been a dream come true for me.
